With the franchise awards season in full-swing, Agency Express is the latest company to walk away victorious from a glittering ceremony. The Norwich-based franchise that erects and maintains advertising boards for estate agencies scooped the Gold Award at last night’s bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards, supported by Express Newspapers, which took place at the ICC in Birmingham.”
Agency Express beat Driver Hire and TaxAssist Accountants to the prestigious award, with judges praising the company’s ability to maximise every aspect of its operations to benefit franchisees, including impressive use of technology to support growth while maintaining a very healthy work/life balance.”
But Agency Express wasn’t the only winner last night. One Stop, the convenience store chain which has grown to 100 franchises in the space of just 15 months, was named Emerging Franchisor of the Year while Dream Doors picked up the Franchisee Recruitment Award. Elsewhere, Home Instead Senior Care walked away with the Customer Focus Award, with the Award for Innovation going to Dyno, the drain and plumbing repair, locksmiths and home security franchise.
All of the winners were presented with their awards by Andy Brattesani, UK head of franchising for HSBC; Cathyrn Hayes, head of business support at the bfa; and Sean Hammond, classified advertising manager for Express Newspapers.
“This award is recognition for the outstanding work carried out every day by our franchisees and our head office support team,” said Stephen Watson, managing director of Agency Express.”“We’ve invested heavily in providing franchisees with the best environment to succeed and in turn they’ve made Agency Express what it is today – a market leader, renowned for service, and now Franchisor of the Year.”
Hayes added: “The calibre of entrants was extremely high; we are immensely proud of the quality of franchisors that continue to achieve business growth and build upon a strong network of franchisees.””
Next up is the bfa HSBC Franchisee of the Year Awards 2015, the ceremony for which takes place in October. And with franchisees for some of last night’s winners named among the finalists, it could be double the glory for some franchises this year.”
