We’re always pleased to hear about franchises that have grand expansion plans in the offing. Which is why we’ve broken out the champers and party poppers: Bartercard has announced it will be expanding its network and offering new franchise opportunities to those eager to own their business.

There are certainly big things in the pipeline for the business-to-business trade exchange. Not only has it revealed it is now officially a member of the bfa (British Franchise Association) but it has announced its ten-year growth plan, during which it will take on 30 new franchisees and over 10,000 members. This is set to build off the success of its most recent brokerages such as Salisbury, which has already exceeded its goal of drawing 100 new members in the region eight months ahead of schedule.

“We’re delighted to announce our membership of the British Franchise Association, helping to further cement our role as the UK’s largest business-to-business trade exchange and expand new franchising opportunities to entrepreneurs across the country,” said Philip Ciniglio, CEO of Bartercard UK. “Our goal in the UK for 2015 is to grow our franchise network and member base, and towards the end of the year we will begin a concentrated effort to expand our operations throughout Europe ensuring our members have international opportunities on their doorstep.””
