As far as we’re concerned, there’s nothing quite like discussing franchising over a fry-up. It’s fortunate then that the British Franchise Association (bfa) is to once again host the Great Northern Breakfast at Manchester’s EventCity on Friday June 19.”
Supported by Platinum Wave and HSBC, the event will celebrate the £3bn franchise sector in northern England and is open to everyone working in the sector or anyone with an interest in finding out more about franchising. It also takes place immediately before the British Franchise Exhibition, which runs for two days at the same venue, meaning it’s a great opportunity to network with franchisors and other experienced players in the franchise space before other exhibition delegates.
If that’s not enough bang for your buck, this year’s keynote speaker is none other than Simon Jack, the business journalist, who will be familiar to any BBC Radio 4 listeners out there. Jack will be joined by Rachel Ray, founder of Bright & Beautiful, the domestic cleaning franchise that has enjoyed rapid growth in recent years, and Joe Guishard, a franchisee with Right at Home, the homecare franchise. Attendees of the Great Northern Breakfast will get their chance to pose questions to the esteemed speakers while brushing off their black pudding as part of a new Q&A panel format.”
“Franchising is worth billions to the northern economy and has thrived in both prosperous and challenging times during the past ten years,” said Pip Wilkins, head of operations at the bfa.”
“This is a wonderful opportunity to hear real-life stories, make new connections and understand what ethical franchising is all about, while enjoying a traditional English breakfast. Bacon and business; what more could you ask for?!”
It’s safe to say we’re sold but to make sure you don’t miss out, we’d recommend getting your ticket booked now at www.thebfa.org/gnb.”
