Stepping into the shoes of a successful company’s founder can often feel like a trial by fire. However, few are as well equipped to rise to the challenge as Sue Moore, the new president and managing director of Bright & Beautiful, the domestic home-care franchise. She’s now taking pole position at the business, picking up the reins from founder Rachel Ray who stepped down following the franchise’s acquisition by Dwyer Group, the service-based franchise company, in April.

And it’s safe to say that Moore is particularly well placed to follow in Ray’s footsteps. Not only has the new managing director served as Bright & Beautiful’s franchise director for several years but franchisees are also likely to benefit of her keen understanding of the nature of running a small business, having launched and run a variety of small businesses herself. Additionally, she has helped other SME owners on their journey both during her time as a business mentor and as a progression mentor at the Prince’s Trust, the charity helping young people get jobs, education and training.

Commenting on her new role, Moore said: “This is a hugely exciting time to be taking the helm at Bright & Beautiful and, as we celebrate our tenth anniversary this year, I’m very proud to be building and developing it for our next decade in business.”

We can only wish Moore and the franchisees in Bright & Beautiful’s network good luck for the future. But with talent like this at the steering wheel, something tells us that luck won’t have anything to do with the company’s success.
