Double delight for Caremark

Two impressive Caremark ladies from the outskirts of London scoop titles at this year's EWIF awards.

Double delight for Caremark

Elaine Hamilton and Hannah Drury are the toast of Caremark following their successes at last week’s annual EWIF (Encouraging Women into Franchising) awards which were held online. Elaine from Sutton, who is a field care supervisor, was named ‘Women Franchise Employee of the Year‘ while Hannah Drury collected the award for being the best ‘Young Woman in Franchising‘.

Hannah is managing director of her franchise territory in east Surrey which encompasses the towns of Epsom, Ewell, Reigate and Banstead. For Hannah, this completes an impressive hat-trick, having also won the same award in each of the past two years. This year’s event was the 11th annual awards ceremony, sponsored once again by NatWest and co-ordinated by EWiF which is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers.

In a press release published by EWiF, it reads: “The key to Elaine’s success is her authentic and passionate leadership style. Throughout 2020, she has selflessly helped care workers deliver excellent care in the community. She also regularly visited the region’s most isolated and vulnerable clients during lockdown. Elaine is a great credit to the Caremark team.”

A thrilled Elaine said of her success: “On hearing the news that I had won this award I was in total shock. I felt emotional, privileged and honoured just to be nominated, let alone win. My job means the world to me, and I couldn’t have done it without the support of the team. We are all winners.”

As for Hannah, the press release explained: “She is no stranger to the EWiF Awards, having walked away with this title for the past three years. Her dedication to her network, staff and community continue to impress the judges. She supports her staff following a smooth transition into remote working, while collaborating with the Police on their initiative ‘The Herbert Protocol.’ This initiative is aimed at protecting the most vulnerable.”

And Hannah remarked: “It always feels wonderful to be recognised for the work we do. I love our company and everyone in it. I am so proud of everyone and grateful for the hard work and dedication they all give every single day. We really do an amazing job which makes a real difference to people’s lives.”

A spokesperson at Caremark‘s head office in Sussex added: “What a truly inspirational pair these ladies are and set such a fine example as to why women should consider care as a career, but also a career in franchising with Caremark.

“We are a tried and tested model that has shown its resilience throughout the uncertainty of Brexit and now also during the unprecedented onset of a global pandemic. The Caremark network of in-home care and support has witnessed growth of more than 20% during 2020 alone.”
