The bfa has launched its annual awards which celebrate Britain’s very best franchisees
The awards season is upon us and franchisees are dusting off their glad rags ready for the Oscars of franchise awards ceremonies, the bfa HSBC Franchisee of the Year Awards, supported by Express Newspapers.
With the nominations for the prestigious awards ceremony now open, bfa-accredited franchisees can be put forward until May 29 before the lucky contenders are crowned at a glitzy black-tie dinner at the iconic town hall in Birmingham on October 1. Hosted by business breakfast journalist Steph McGovern, the awards ceremony will reward the winner of each of the six categories with a hard-earned trophy and £1000 courtesy of HSBC, with £10,000 up for grabs for the overall winner.
Each franchisee can be nominated in up to three of the following six categories:
Franchisee Customer Service of the Year Award
Rewards franchisees who consistently deliver excellent customer service and are not afraid to go that extra mile to look after their customers and clients.
Young Franchisee of the Year Award
This award is open to franchisees under the age of 30 who have overcome the feats of franchising with determination and boundless passion.
Microbusiness of the Year Award
They say that good things come in small packages and this award rewards franchises with less than £100,000 turnover that are punching above their weight and mixing it with the big boys.
Female Franchisee of the Year Award
For the committed and dedicated women doing amazing things in franchising and setting high standards for others to follow.
Olderpreneur Franchisee of the Year
With age comes wisdom and the bfa is celebrating the expertise of those aged 55 and over who are elevating their businesses to new levels.
B2B Franchisee of the Year
For the professionals delivering outstanding services and products to business clients through innovative methods.
“After the exceptional standard of finalists in 2014, we’re eagerly anticipating vibrant stories that highlight the extraordinary achievements of franchisees up and down the country,” said Andy Brattesani, head of UK franchising, HSBC.
The finalists will be selected two weeks after the May 29 entry deadline and will face a gruelling two days presenting to the judging panel to prove their mettle. We’d recommend getting those entries in now through the bfa website.
