Leading global pizza franchise announces expansion of their UK base in Buckinghamshire.

These are exciting times for the Milton Keynes office of world-renowned pizza franchise Papa John’s. Already the headquarters of the company’s operations in the UK, they will soon become the focal point of their international franchising business. Papa John’s, which was founded in the United States 36 years ago, will still retain its two big corporate offices in Atlanta and Louisville. But, from the spring of 2021, the company will centralise all of its non-north American administration in Milton Keynes.

Jack Swaysland, Papa John’s Chief Operating Officer (International), explained: “By streamlining operations, facilitating greater collaboration in one time zone, and building on our considerable success in the UK, our international headquarters will enable us to support existing and new franchisees even better, as we deliver on the very latest trends in food consumption around the globe. I look forward to welcoming the international team to Milton Keynes and continuing Papa John’s great momentum in all parts of the world.”

The move is expected to be completed during the first half of next year and will form part of a global reorganisation, as Papa John’s seek to accelerate long-term growth and innovation. The company has more than 450 stores across the UK, which is part of their 5,000 plus network of outlets in more than 40 international markets and territories. Papa John’s take great pride in being the only branded pizza chain to use only fresh dough. They are also proud of their “unique tomato sauce which is made from the best Californian tomatoes.”

Regarding the company’s decision to select their UK headquarters as their leading non-US office, Jack added: “The move will assist the brand’s growth beyond North America and this is an exciting and significant announcement for Papa John’s. Pizza remains hugely popular, both in challenging times as well as good, and our business is performing strongly.

“The move to Milton Keynes puts Papa John’s in a better position than ever to realise tremendous opportunities for international growth. Consolidating our international talent in one place will help grow the business in our search for new markets. We see many exciting opportunities, not just in the world’s high streets, but also through innovative new partnerships, such as sports venues, holiday destinations and other locations.”
