Having spent almost three decades working with HSBC and the last 17 years as chief executive of TaxAssist, the accountancy franchise, it’s safe to say that Karl Sandall knows a thing or two about what it takes to run organisations smoothly. And this expertise is something that will serve him in good stead in his new role as a trustee of OPEN Youth Trust, the charity helping young people in Norwich improve their lives by empowering them with social skills and making them more employable.
Commentating on the news that he’ll join the charity’s board of trustees, Sandall said: “As a family man of three teenage children, I appreciate the importance of the work that OPEN offers to children and young people in Norfolk. [Our children] are after all the future of our community.”
It’s always encouraging to see franchisors lend a hand to help others and we wish Sandall the best of luck in his new role.
