The Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100) is delighted to announce the placings for the Top 100 Franchisors list 2021.
The Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100) is delighted to announce the placings for the Top 100 Franchisors list 2021. The franchising industry continues to drive economic growth across the nation, with more than 700,000* people employed in franchising throughout the country. Established in 2017, the EF100 recognises and celebrates the industry’s brightest franchises. Entering its fourth year, the annual definitive league table is thrilled to reveal who has made the top 100.
To place first on the esteemed list is a fantastic achievement and this year taking the top spot is Home Instead Senior Care – the domiciliary care brand will hold the title for the duration of the year.
Andrew Brattesani, UK head of franchising at HSBC, was one of the five franchising specialists judging this year’s entrants. “This year we have had to assess how businesses have proactively adjusted in response to closures caused by the pandemic. It’s been essential for entrants to demonstrate how they have pivoted their services. To place first is a phenomenal accomplishment,” said Andrew.
Making the top of the list is InXpress in second place, Energie Fitness taking third place, Subway coming in at fourth and Driver Hire taking fifth place. To be awarded a place in the top five is an incredible accomplishment. Despite the economic difficulties of this year, these franchises have prospered due to their proven business models and determination.
“Placing highly on the list is something to be incredibly proud of. This year, entrants have been judged on our eight key criteria as well as any measures they initiated to survive the challenges of 2020. These brands have amazed us with their resourcefulness and deserve huge congratulations,” said Scott English, Brand Director of Elite Franchise.
The highest climber from last year’s list is Drain Doctor and the highest new entrant is Pirtek. The EF100 showcases a broad range of successful franchises and it’s brilliant to see a variety across the sector making it into the esteemed poll. The EF100 acts as a guide for anyone considering buying a franchise and the list provides an array of opportunities.
“We are thrilled for every single entrant who has made the EF100. Every year, the ranking becomes more competitive and this year has been no exception. From hundreds of entries, the list showcases franchises who have continued to provide exemplary services or products alongside substantial support to their networks of franchisees. The 2021 EF100 list shows just what the British franchising industry has to offer,” said Scott.
Finalists will be celebrated during a glittering awards gala at the HSBC headquarters in Canary Wharf on Thursday 11th February.
