Two in-toto Kitchens franchisees win exhibition space at Grand Designs Live

For a design franchise, having a single one of your franchisees offered a place at the UK’s largest home design exhibition must feel like a serious vindication of what you’re doing. But two? Surely this is more than a franchise can hope for?

Not if you’re in-toto Kitchens. Recognised in the Miele Win a Space competition, two in-toto franchisees have been recognised for the style, innovation and inspiration shown by their designs, winning the chance to exhibit their work in the upcoming Grand Designs Live 2015 exhibition this October. Denise Howard, owner of in-toto Oxford, won the Less than £20,000 category, whilst Belinda Dangerfield, owner of in-toto Birmingham, won the Less than £30,000 category for the second year in a row.

And it seems the good news doesn’t stop there: in-toto has also recently been stretching its philanthropic muscles, helping to raise over £4,000 for Barnado’s, the children’s charity. Opening its showrooms for over 25 Barnado’s Big Brunch events in May and June this year, in-toto’s studios invited the public in for brunch and fun activities in exchange for donations. Having raised £2,109.20 – which was matched by in-toto Kitchens’ head office for a total of £4,218.40 – it saw in-toto recognised as Barnado’s Fundraiser of the Month.

“We’re very proud of the money we raised and want to thank everyone who supported the Barnardo’s Big Brunch events, from our studio owner franchisees to the members of the public who came along on the day,” said Jonathon Wagstaff, managing director of in-toto Kitchens. “A lot of in-toto studios are owned by families and run by generations together as true family businesses. We have a strong family ethos and Barnardo’s is a great charity for us to support. We look forward to continuing the partnership with Barnardo’s with plans for additional fundraising in the future.”

All in all, it seems that it’s been a busy old few months for in-toto’s franchisees. Keep up the good work guys.”
