The age of digital disruption is upon us as technology has entered and seemingly changed every business. So it was only a matter of time before children franchises would start using these innovations to improve how they manage parents’ schedules and payments. Now, Tumble Tots, a play school franchise, has become the latest to do just that by teaming up with tech firm ClassForKids.
The technology not only automates the payment process for busy parents but also makes the booking simpler. Customers can easily pay their fees via their smartphones.
The franchise struck the deal after realising the additional work on the team which included running the classes and getting membership payments. Since the technology inevitably reduces the hours spent on admin by Tumble Tots, the network’s franchisees can now use their resources to scale their business instead of slaving through paperwork. On average the team hopes that as freed up circa ten hours per week. ClassForKids has previously helped franchises like Little Gymnasts and Tots Play.
Commenting on the deal, David Hunt, managing director at Tumble Tots said: “ClassForKids has revolutionised the way we take bookings and payments for our classes. Previously, our franchisees had to intervene manually via our in-house system, responding to parents and creating registers, with payments being taken by cash, cheque or card machines at the centres. Giving parents the power to book and pay for classes online has not only streamlined the whole organisation process but it has also freed up a considerable amount of time spent on admin which means they can focus on other areas of their business.”
Given how Tumble Tots’ franchisees have been freed up to scale and develop their businesses, it’s easy to see how technology can benefit startups.
