History
Rise was born after Co-Founder Rob Oyston was hospitalised, following a life threatening diagnosis. While rehabilitating, he met people whose confidence was dramatically impacted as they came to terms with life changing implications from the illnesses they had. Rob decided to design a seated sports programme to support with rehabilitation, and the service soon evolved into fun, seated sports sessions in care homes, charities, hospices, schools and corporate settings providing sessions for all ages and abilities. As demand escalated, Rob approached Trevor Brocklebank, who launched Home Instead in the UK, to join him as Co-Founder and expand the business through franchising. Today over 12000 participants enjoy the benefits of Rise sessions each month, across every corner of the UK.
