Here, Will Frankling, Co-founder of Kitchen Makeovers, proudly welcomes four new franchises to the ever-growing Kitchen Makeovers family, as they embark on an exciting journey of entrepreneurship. Will hears from Simone and Richard Fisher, dynamic husband-and-wife duo and the co-owners of Kitchen Makeovers Colchester, on their experience of running a franchise since their launch in January.
At Kitchen Makeovers, we’re over the moon to welcome a quartet of new starters to our network – Ryan McCartney in High Wycombe, Ben Coltman in Southampton, Daniel Ward in Liverpool South and Richard and Simone Fisher in Colchester. Their arrival marks a significant expansion, further strengthening our national presence. With demand for cost-effective kitchen improvements on the rise, there’s no better time to be part of our growing network.
2025 is off to a fantastic start for the franchise, with impressive growth and exciting opportunities across our network – but we’re just getting started. Our commitment to supporting franchisees and building on this momentum remains as strong as ever. With such a passionate and driven team, I’m excited to see what the rest of the year brings!
After strenuous careers – Simone working in a specialist school and Richard as a kitchen fitter – the couple felt it was the right time for a change. In January, they took the leap into business ownership, launching Kitchen Makeovers Colchester. This new venture not only marked their first experience as business owners but also as colleagues. With no prior experience in running a business, franchising was the obvious choice for the pair, allowing us to provide them with the support and structure they needed to make their dream a reality.
“The support from head office has been truly invaluable, giving us so much confidence as we build our business. We’ve been amazed at how well we work together – me handling the kitchen fittings while Simone manages the admin and appointments has created the perfect balance. This has already been the best decision we’ve ever made, not just for our business but for our family life too,” said Richard.
Simone and Richard were the first franchisees to participate in our new revised five-day onboarding training program: “The training week was such a great learning experience! I got to dive into the side of kitchen fitting, which was previously unknown territory for me, while Richard gained a real insight into what goes on behind-the-scenes. We also got to know the team, which makes it so much easier to pick up the phone and speak to the right people. The best part was exploring all the products and operations – everyone was so welcoming, and no question was ever too small,” added Simone.
It’s been fantastic to see our new franchisees dive into training and fully immerse themselves in the Kitchen Makeovers ethos. We equip them with everything they need to hit the ground running – from practical experience to essential business skills – and watching their confidence grow is always inspiring. I can’t wait to see the incredible transformations they’ll create in homes across their local communities.
With these four new franchises joining us, we’re strengthening our position as a leading home improvements franchise in the UK. As our network expands, so does our commitment to delivering hassle-free, cost-effective kitchen transformations to homes nationwide.
