Stepping into Autumn

As we come to the end of the Summer holidays, we’re almost ready for life to return to normal routine…

Stepping into Autumn

As holiday season ends, we’ve got a full team again, we’re back in full force, as are our customers and suppliers! Whilst we’ve had an extremely busy few months, the Summer holidays also bring a natural delay to quotes and jobs as decision makers and suppliers like the rest of us are making the most of the warm weather and heading off on their holidays.

As expected, August for Twickenham and Battersea didn’t break any records however we’re in line with forecast, with a healthy bottom line and any delayed decisions on jobs are now coming through which means a very positive outlook for September.

August also saw our latest new recruit Leo join the team and with 35 years industry experience as a sign maker, installer and designer, he’s been able to hit the ground running and already become an integral part of the team. As I mentioned last month, we’re also picking up momentum on the marketing front with social media becoming a key lead source for us, therefore we’re currently looking for an experienced individual to join us to support in this additional activity too!

Our social efforts and increased investments into our PPC campaigns for our new Battersea ‘spoke’ are also paying off, with lots in the quote log for the whole area, so we’ve got really positive projections for our new territory for the next couple of months which is encouraging to see.

In terms of projects and what’s been keeping us busy, I hardly dare say it, but we’ve completed our first Christmas project of the year! We’re also working on a very exciting 3d print project along with additional work over at Mole Business Park following a successful recent job; plus, we continue to work with key customer Xenedin, which is great to see repeat customers coming back time and time again.

Also, this month I attended a fantastic networking event in Birmingham, jointly organised by FESPA and the ISA. The event itself was ‘Making Connections Matter’ which I found hugely valuable, connecting with like-minded people at the top of the industry; I’ve made some great connections and built relationships with new suppliers. Definitely something I’ll be adding to the diary next time round!

The first half of September is shaping up to be full of promise and more hard work which is what we like to see. Plus, to continue the trend of reaching out and forming more connections, I’m excited to be attending The Print show in the next couple of weeks. It’s a great chance for myself and the team to connect with suppliers, keep up-to-date with all the latest technologies and materials as we pride ourselves at being the forefront of innovation within the industry.”

If this sounds like an exciting industry and engaging working environment to you, we’re currently looking for experienced business individuals to join our award-winning network. With opportunities to join us via our established resale opportunities or our prime location start-up sites, why not get in touch to find out more?
