Anytime Fitness and Apple Fitness+ team up as hybrid fitness continues growth

Anytime Fitness UK and Apple Fitness+ are joining forces to give members greater flexibility across gym, home and on-the-go workouts as demand for hybrid fitness continues to grow

Anytime Fitness and Apple Fitness+ team up as hybrid fitness continues growth

Together, Anytime Fitness and Apple Fitness+ will be giving members more opportunities to stay consistent with their fitness routine, whether they’re training in the gym, at home, or on the go, combining 24/7 access to the more than 6,000 Anytime Fitness clubs worldwide with thousands of workouts and meditations available on Apple Fitness+.  To get started requires an iPhone, and with Apple Watch, members can unlock personalised, real-time metrics for their workouts.

With immediate effect all Anytime Fitness members will get access to a Fitness+ subscription for the lifetime of their active membership, and at no additional cost – delivering a connected fitness experience that bridges the gap between in-club and on-demand wellness. Existing Fitness+ users also benefit when they sign up for a 13-month Anytime Fitness membership, receiving their first 30 days free.

The launch comes as the UK fitness industry continues to grow. According to ukactive’s UK Health and Fitness Market Report 2026, gym memberships have reached a record 18% of the population, while annual visits rose by 10% and sector revenue climbed to £6.5 billion. As more consumers combine gym-based and digital fitness, the addition of Fitness+ enables Anytime Fitness members to move seamlessly between workouts in the club, at home and on the go with a single membership.

Sarah Mather, Head of Marketing at Anytime Fitness UK & Ireland, said: “Today’s members do not think about fitness in one location. They move between the gym, home and travel, and they expect their membership to move with them. Adding Apple Fitness+ to membership combines the motivation and guidance of Fitness+ with the support of our clubs, giving members even more ways to stay active and consistent.”

Members will have access to thousands of Fitness+ workouts and meditations across 12 workout types – including Strength, HIIT, Yoga, Pilates and more – led by a diverse and welcoming team of trainers.

Rich Peil, Director and Co-Founder, Anytime Fitness UK & Ireland and Australia, added: “We’re investing in a model that combines outstanding physical clubs with digital experiences members value to deliver the best member experience in the market. Providing our members with access to the expansive library of Apple Fitness+ content helps them pursue their goals wherever they choose to work out while complementing the experience they already enjoy in our clubs.”

The announcement coincides with another milestone for the brand, with Anytime Fitness opening its 6,000th club globally. In the UK and Ireland, the business continues to expand its footprint, currently at 180 clubs and targeting 500 clubs within the next five years, as it grows its franchise network alongside a portfolio of corporate-owned clubs. This new Fitness+ offering expands to the UK and Ireland following launches in Australia, Canada, Japan and the U.S.
