Connecting with the community

Anytime Fitness has announced that their internet success story, AF Connect Online, will be free to the public during lockdown.

Connecting with the community

As the UK Government’s lockdown remains firmly in place, leading fitness provider Anytime Fitness have decided to offer their flagship online platform free to the general public. With people forced to remain indoors throughout much of the winter, Anytime Fitness are giving free access to their fitness platform, AF Connect Online. This popular platform features over 70 exercise classes, as well as exclusive wellbeing content from leading health experts.

Those who take advantage of this generous offer will also benefit from discounts available via a number of leading brands, such as Myprotein and Virgin Experience Days. The free trial is focussed on helping local communities become more active, while boosting physical and mental health.

Neil Randall, the chief executive officer of Anytime Fitness UK, said: “Making AF Connect Online free to everyone furthers our commitment to helping the nation become healthier, even when they’re unable to set foot in a gym. Community is at the heart of all of our locally owned clubs, and we hope that people of all ages, as well as differing levels of fitness experience, will benefit from this.

“Recent stats show that around one-third of people are doing less exercise during this particular lockdown. So we want to play our part in getting people moving and motivated again.”

Those who log-in can sample a vast range of on-demand classes, from yoga to dumbbells, and barre ballet to boxing. AF Connect Online also offers relaxation and muscle relief techniques. Its wellbeing section features a host of nutrition and recipe guides, while there’s a good selection of audio downloads designed to generate a better work/life balance.

This latest development follows on from the news during autumn that Anytime Fitness has joined forces with corporate giant Gympass. This partnership is aimed at attracting more corporate employees into AF’s clubs, while making it easier for the UK’s corporate workforce to conveniently plan their fitness regimes around work, travel and family commitments.
