Figures show an 11% increase in brands entering the awards in 2024, compared to 2023 and a 27% increase in entries overall.

Chief Executive of the BFA Pip Wilkins said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our 35th year of the BFA awards this year and as always, another exceptionally difficult round of short listing for Gillian and I.

“We never cease to be amazed by your ingenuity and tenacity, your ability to adapt to changing marketplaces and to be able to amend your business model as to ensure you are always offering the best opportunity to your franchisees and customers. “

Wilkins further noted that no great franchise ever succeeded by standing still; it is crucial you keep evolving.

Under the rules of the self-regulatory body for franchising, BFA members must abide by the association’s code of conduct, ensuring their franchise is run along professional and ethical lines. Currently, there are more than 300 members listed on the BMA website.
