Rajwant has been a care assistant at Caremark’s Dartford & Gravesham franchise since 2019. Raspinder Singh and Gursh Baryah, Managing Directors of the Kent-based franchise, who nominated her, explained why she is such a worthy winner: “Rajwant is not someone who seeks attention. She quietly gets on with her work, but the praise and gratitude from her customers and their families speaks volumes. She is trusted, respected and loved by those she supports. She handles complex and challenging situations with a calm professionalism, always ensuring her customers’ wellbeing, dignity and safety are prioritised. She is also one of our mentors for new carers, taking the time to guide and support them, especially those who are new to care, with patience and kindness. The daughter of one customer said: “Raj is amazing and the support she provides for mum is exceptional. She understands her needs and takes care of everything without me having to worry about it. No one else comes close. She is very caring and we trust her completely.” Commenting on winning the ‘Incredible of the Year’ award 2025, Rajwant said: “I’m proud of it. I love this job so much. I don’t think I can do any other job except this . . . I don’t feel like it’s a job. My customers are like family. I try to look after them and, at the same time, I’m doing the work, earning money, and enjoying my work as well.” Raj finished by saying: “I’m very pleased and that makes me feel like I need to do more, I need to achieve more as well.
