Gary Keating becomes the latest ActionCOACH guru to win prestigious national award

Last year Kevin

ActionCOACH business partner Gary Keating has been named one of this year’s winners of the Great British Franchisee Awards. This annual event honours the nation’s leading franchisees, and Gary follows in the footsteps of another ActionCOACH stalwart Kevin Riley, who won the same award last year.

To receive one of these awards, a franchisee needs to demonstrate their ability to perform exceptionally well in all areas of their business. And Gary was named one of the 2023 winners, earlier this week, in recognition of his long-term success at ActionCOACH Bristol.

Among the areas scrutinised by judges are business growth, staff retention, business experience, customer satisfaction, community involvement and inspired leadership. Gary was recognised because of his continued dedication to transforming the lives of business owners.

Ian Christelow, of ActionCOACH UK, said: “Gary provides a huge amount of support to our network of over 200 franchise partners in the UK, as well as our franchise support team. He’s applied what he’s learned through ActionCOACH, and in his career, to build an outstanding team.

“Their expertise has transformed the lives of hundreds of business owners in the Bristol area. He’s an asset to our community and fully deserves this award in recognition of his dedication to helping everyone around him achieve greater results.”

ActionCOACH franchise partners support businesses across the UK, within their exclusive territories. They offer their coaching services to help clients unlock their business potential. Around 98% of clients have said that their coach has made a positive difference to their business.

Award winner Gary was quick to praise his own team members, saying: “It’s not about me. My team and our clients are the key to our business coaching success. We measure our success by our clients’ success, and have done so ever since we launched in 2015.

“Many of our clients have since franchised their businesses, won awards, and have enjoyed massive increases in their profits. Our mission is to boost the work of business owners throughout Bristol and the surrounding area, and this award is validation that we’re succeeding.”

Judges of the Great British Franchisee Awards explained that Gary had innovatively structured his Bristol-based business for sustained growth. They remarked that Gary is a great ambassador for the ActionCOACH community network.

They added that he has invested in his clients, along with the wider Bristol community, and also in his own team. Judges concluded that Gary constantly exceeded targets, while demonstrating excellent leadership qualities, and therefore fully deserved his selection as a Great British Franchisee Award winner.

Ian Christelow added: “Gary is a brilliant example of how to be successful. He is a regular speaker at franchise discovery days, attends quarterly team meetings and also our quarterly conferences. He shares his valuable knowledge freely with our entire network. We’re blessed to have his skills and dedication. He has built a million-pound franchise from the ground up.

“He’s created an incredible amount of fulfilment, both personally and among members of his team. He’s made a huge difference to his local economy and community. He recently featured on an Amazon Prime Video documentary series called ‘Business as Unusual’. We are so proud of what he has achieved and can’t wait to support him as he continues on his journey with us.”
