The
prestigious awards ceremony will honour and empower women in the franchising
industry
The finalists for the 2020 NatWest EWIF Awards have been announced, honouring outstanding women in the industry who have shown their dedication and commitment to franchising.
Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWIF) focuses on supporting women looking for a route into franchising. The NatWest EWIF Awards are held every year to celebrate the achievements of women across the franchising industry and to also educate, inspire, empower and celebrate woman across every business sector. The EWIF is a non-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers to provide advice and guidance for women looking to get into the franchising industry. The organisation hopes to encourage women to consider buying a franchise, to encourage businesswomen to franchise their existing operations and to help franchisors attract more women to their networks. The NatWest EWIF Awards will honour women in franchising who have shown their drive and dedication to building their businesses.
There are eleven awards up for grabs, with three finalists for each category eyeing the top trophy. These include New Woman Franchisor of the Year 2020, Woman Franchisor of the Year, New Woman Franchisee of the Year, Woman Franchisee of the Year, Woman Franchise Employee of the Year, Young Woman in Franchising of the Year (Under 30 years), Service Provider of the Year, Inspirational Woman in Franchising and Ambassador of the Year for either male or female applicants.
Applicants will be judged based on a setlist of criteria in each category by EWIF Senior Management, EWIF Regional Chairs and the awards sponsor. The scores are then all added together to give a winner in each category. Sponsors include NatWest, McDonald’s Restaurants, International Franchise Show London, Daisy First Aid, Platinum Wave Franchising, What Franchise, Hitachi Capital (UK) PLC Franchise Finance, Boddy Matthews Solicitors and Darwin Gray.
The winners of each category will be announced at the prestigious awards ceremony will be held at The Waldorf Hilton Hotel but because of the coronavirus pandemic, the date of the awards ceremony has been postponed until further notice.
