Situated at one of the South West’s key motorway service areas, the new Chopstix restaurant marks the first franchise site for the brand to open with Roadchef, which runs a network of motorway service areas. As part of the agreement, Roadchef will oversee full management of the unit, with employees undergoing an extensive Chopstix induction.
Roadchef currently operates at 31 locations, catering to an estimated 50 million people passing through its motorway service areas annually.
Strengthening Chopstix’s presence at travel hubs, meanwhile, is a core focus for the business and has already proven highly effective at not only driving revenue, but also supporting the brand’s uplift in awareness. The brand’s portfolio of sites at travel hubs includes highly successful motorway service area units, rail, tube and airport sites.
Rob King, Chief Financial Officer & Franchise Director at Chopstix Group, said: “We’re delighted to open at Roadchef Strensham South and to be bringing Chopstix to the Roadchef estate for the very first time. Motorway services continue to offer an exciting area of growth and it is another significant moment for us as we continue to ramp up the momentum we built last year.
Meanwhile, Dan Sutton, Brands Director at Roadchef said: “Chopstix is a fantastic addition to Strensham Services, offering visitors another high-quality, convenient and premium dining option. We remain committed to evolving with our customers’ needs, providing a wide range and variety of world-class brands they know and love while travelling across the UK’s motorway network.”
After opening over 20 new sites last year, 2026 shows no signs of slowing for Chopstix, having opened its first site in France in January, along with a strong pipeline of new site openings with franchise partners such as Roadchef.
