The sector which keeps on growing

Clarity Homecare continues to take advantage of the ever-expanding homecare sector, attracting new franchisees while adding a high-profile appointment to their list of successes in 2020.

The homecare industry remains one of the most successful sectors of the British economy, continuing to grow despite the recent financial upheaval caused the Coronavirus pandemic. Clarity Homecare, one of the sector’s leading performers, has enjoyed a bumper year so far, increasing their number of franchisees while also doubling their average monthly turnover since January.

The Nottinghamshire-based business has also secured the services of franchising guru Duncan Berry, whose expertise has already proved invaluable to the company. Among Duncan’s many successes in business was his work as Chief Operating Officer of Bluebird Care, which was named Franchisor of the Year by the British Franchise Association in 2017. Duncan’s involvement with Clarity Homecare is to provide experience and structure to the company’s franchise support function.

Duncan says: “It’s been a great 2020 for Clarity Homecare, despite the issues facing the business world as a whole. Our franchise network has doubled its average monthly turnover since January, and we have added a further four new franchise territories. This is in addition to the 10 franchises successfully awarded during 2018 and 2019. This activity only highlights what a great time it is to become part of the homecare sector.”

And the facts speak for themselves. According to Age UK, since 2010 there has been an increase of over 380,000 people – aged 65 and over – who are now living with some level of unmet need. Age UK also reports that by 2040, one in every four people will be aged 65 or over. They believe the number of elderly people living in the UK will rise by 40% over the next 20 years.

This is stark analysis indeed, with Clarity Homecare confident that they will remain frontrunners in a sector where demand is growing all the time. The company has more than 20 years of experience in the business, with Duncan keen to increase their total number of franchisees in the near future, adding: “We can now use our expertise to help others realise their ambitions to own their own business.

“We offer a unique support package for new franchisees. Included within the franchise fee is 12 months of invoicing and payroll support. And when their teams visit and assess potential customers in their own homes, they will have access to a sign-written car to help raise brand awareness – for the first year.

“This very attractive model enables those working in social care, as perhaps registered managers, to now own and operate their own business. Those not already in the care sector can utilise our management structure to assist the building of their team, as they prepare to join and take advantage of an increasingly growing market.”

In addition to bringing Duncan on board, Clarity Homecare has made a number of key appointments, particularly in recruitment and marketing, to provide even more support for their growing number of franchisees.
