Top UK housekeeping franchise undertakes charity appeal

With spring in the air, Bright & Beautiful is focussed on raising money for cancer charities.

Domestic cleaning company Bright & Beautiful is on a mission to raise thousands of pounds for cancer charities before the end of April. The Northamptonshire-based franchisor is encouraging clients to donate clothes and shoes to local cancer charity shops around the UK.

Bright & Beautiful has a network of more than 70 franchisees, dotted around the UK, and the company’s managing director is keen to help two particular charities: Boot Out Breast Cancer and Cancer Research UK.

Jo Vorwerg said: “I am urging our clients and their teams to donate clothing and footwear items to our chosen charities. I am so proud that our Bright & Beautiful franchise owners are continuing the philanthropy which has been a part of our core values since our inception.

Boot Out Breast Cancer and Cancer Research UK are charities very close to our hearts and the collection of unwanted clothes to recycle from our clients is a wonderful idea. This will help raise money which can be spent on new equipment for breast cancer units in the NHS.”

Since 2010, Boot Out Breast Cancer has used all of the money raised to purchase life-saving equipment which is used to try and detect early diagnosis of this dreadful disease. Cancer Research UK has worked tirelessly to help and support those living with cancer. The charity’s research and awareness campaigns have helped thousands of people around the UK since they were founded in 2002.

Bright & Beautiful is keen to take advantage of the 207 tonnes of textiles which are thrown away every year in the UK. This initiative runs until April 30th, with franchisees asked to collect as many clothes and shoes as possible.
