Zambrero UK has signed 14 franchise partners in its first year of franchising.

The Mexican fast-casual brand announced that its UK franchise programme now includes 14 partners and 16 operating restaurants across London, Manchester, Birmingham, Reading, Basingstoke, Essex and Glasgow. Over the past 12 months the network achieved 28% like-for-like sales growth and the global Plate 4 Plate initiative recorded 100 million meals donated. The company has appointed three Development Agents to support regional expansion across 14 counties and has become an Emerging Member of the British Franchise Association.

Emily Teh, CEO of Zambrero UK, said: “One of the most encouraging aspects of our first year of franchising in the UK has been the people joining the Zambrero network. We are attracting entrepreneurs with a genuine passion for hospitality, community engagement and business growth, and that is exactly what we are looking for as we expand. With the expertise of our Development Agents, we are creating a support structure that gives Franchise Partners the tools, guidance and confidence to succeed from day one.”

The brand opened three new restaurants in the last six months, including its first Scottish outlet in Glasgow’s West End and a new site in St Pauls, London. New locations in Hampshire and the South West are also planned. Zambrero UK aims to add up to ten new restaurants by the end of 2026 and to bring a further 20 franchise partners into the network, moving towards its target of 100 UK restaurants by 2030.

The expansion reflects strong entrepreneur interest and reinforces the purpose-led model that links commercial growth with the Plate 4 Plate charitable programme.
