It marks a significant milestone for the brand, with the endorsement from all four institutions reflecting strong confidence in Snap Fitness’ business model, operational performance and ability to deliver consistent returns for its franchise partners.
Through these funding arrangements, franchise partners can now access preferential lending rates directly from the banks, with the ability to finance a substantial proportion of gym build costs. This includes support not only for new club developments but also for the modernisation and refurbishment of existing sites, helping operators stay competitive in an evolving fitness landscape.
The agreements help make gym franchising more accessible to new investors while supporting franchisees in enhancing member experience through upgraded, state-of-the-art facilities.
Kevin Yates, CEO of Snap Fitness EMEA, said the achievement underscores the strength and maturity of the brand in the UK market:
“Securing support from all four major UK franchise banks is a powerful endorsement of Snap Fitness and the model we’ve built. It demonstrates the confidence these institutions have in our ability to deliver strong, sustainable returns for our franchisees. Just as importantly, it opens the door for more entrepreneurs to join our network and for our existing partners to reinvest and grow, with access to highly competitive funding solutions.”
The availability of funding for both new builds and refurbishments comes at a time when demand for flexible, community-focused fitness offerings continues to rise. The UK fitness industry is now valued at over £6.5 billion (2025 State of the UK Fitness Industry Report) and Snap Fitness’s franchise model, combined with its award-winning support and emphasis on member experience, has made it an attractive proposition for lenders seeking reliable franchise investments.
By aligning closely with leading banking partners, Snap Fitness is accelerating its own growth ambitions, with up to 20 new locations set to open across the UK & Ireland in 2026.
Its next opening will be in the Worcestershire town of Redditch at the end of May. The gym will be Snap Fitness’ biggest location across the UK & Ireland at over 15,000 sq. ft. and include three group exercise studios.
With preferential funding now more widely available, the brand is well positioned to expand its UK footprint while supporting franchisees in maximising return on investment and delivering high-quality fitness environments to local communities.
