Elite Franchise strengthens international leadership team

Award-winning franchise leader Jodie Marsh will now oversee commercial growth across Elite Franchise UK and Canada following an expanded international promotion

Elite Franchise strengthens international leadership team

The franchise sector is becoming increasingly connected across international markets. Events, media platforms and supplier networks are now playing a larger role in helping franchisors grow beyond their domestic territories. But scaling a brand internationally requires leadership that understands both community-building and commercial growth.

That is exactly the challenge Elite Franchise is now handing to Jodie Marsh following her promotion to commercial director, international.

Marsh, who has led the UK commercial operation for the past two years, will now assume responsibility across both the UK and Canadian Elite Franchise brands as the business continues to expand its international footprint.

The appointment comes at a significant time for the business as Elite Franchise prepares to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the EF100 National Awards programme, one of the UK franchise sector’s most recognised rankings. Following a continued rise in applications and industry engagement, entries for this year’s programme will open a month earlier than usual to accommodate growing demand.

During her time leading the UK division, Marsh has also played a central role in the growth of several key initiatives, most notably Elite Franchise Live. The event platform has quickly established itself as a major meeting point for franchisors, franchisees and suppliers across the UK market, helping strengthen the publication’s position within the wider franchise sector.

The promotion follows another major milestone for Marsh after she recently secured the EWIF Supplier of the Year Award, recognising her contribution to the franchising industry and her work supporting brands, suppliers and operators across the sector.

Scott English, global director of Elite Franchise, said: “Jodie has become one of the driving forces behind the growth of Elite Franchise over the past few years. Her understanding of the franchise industry, combined with her commercial leadership and ability to build meaningful relationships, has helped elevate the brand significantly. Expanding her role internationally across both the UK and Canada is a very exciting step for the business and one we believe creates enormous opportunity moving forward.”

Marsh said the new role represented an opportunity to build stronger links between both franchise markets while continuing the momentum already established in the UK.

“The past two years have been incredibly rewarding and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved with Elite Franchise Live and the wider Elite Franchise platform in the UK. Winning the EWIF Supplier of the Year Award was a huge honour, but this next chapter is something I’m especially excited about. Canada represents a fantastic opportunity for us to continue growing the community internationally and to create even more value for franchisors and franchisees across both regions.”

Elite Franchise is also exploring plans to bring Elite Franchise Live to Canada as part of its wider international strategy. If successful, the move would further strengthen collaboration between the two markets while creating new opportunities for franchise brands looking to scale internationally.

Entries for the EF100 National Awards programme will open earlier this year as Elite Franchise marks a decade of celebrating franchise excellence across the UK market.
