I provide practical commercial advice in a no nonsense and down-to-earth manner. I started my career with Revenue & Customs (don’t hold that against me) and since that time spent over 20 years with a leading Northwest firm specialising in commercial disputes.

My varied caseload includes resolving disputes in regard to contracts, director/shareholders, partnerships, professional negligence, enforcement/defence of restrictive covenants, defamation, insolvency, and securing/resisting injunctions.

I have a proven track record of acting for and obtaining great results for clients of all sizes from SME clients up to larger organisations including the Solicitors Regulatory Authority.

My recent key highlights include acting for a client against a government department in the leading authority on seeking interim relief against a public body (R.(on the application of the Governing Body of X) v Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills [2020] EWCA Civ 594. In addition to this, I secured the first ever committal order for the Solicitors Regulatory Authority which can be seen here.
