At Kitchen Makeovers, we know that growing a franchise network isn’t simply about welcoming more business owners. The infrastructure behind the network has to develop at the same pace, ensuring franchisees continue to have access to the practical guidance they need as their businesses evolve.
With our nationwide network now exceeding 40 franchisees, we’ve expanded our Business Development Team to three people. Two new full-time Business Development Managers, Nick Salter and Tareq Heera, have joined Operations Manager Jonathan Head, who’s been with Kitchen Makeovers for two years.
Making sure every franchisee gets the support they need
Growing the network is only one part of building a strong franchise business – we also have to make sure the support behind it grows at the right pace. We’ve invested in experienced people who understand the kitchen sector and can work closely with franchisees on the realities of developing their businesses.
Nick and Tareq both join us following previous roles within the kitchen sector, bringing experience in sales development and financial management. Their remit covers the entire franchise journey, from helping new franchisees through onboarding to working alongside established business owners as they develop their territories.
“It was fantastic to meet so many franchisees at the recent annual conference and see first-hand the ambition and engagement across the network,” said Nick. “A big part of our role now is spending meaningful time with franchisees. That gives us a much clearer understanding of each individual business – what is working well, where there is untapped potential and where focused support could help improve performance.”
A smarter, more personalised approach
That individual understanding is an important part of how we’re developing our approach to franchisee support. Alongside face-to-face coaching and regular contact in the field, the expanded team is making greater use of our bespoke CRM and reporting tools to understand the performance of each franchise business.
We’re also using an AI tool designed to identify actions that can be completed quickly to support income generation or improve profit margins. Combining those insights with the team’s first-hand understanding of individual businesses means we can provide more targeted guidance and help franchisees turn performance data into practical priorities.
The expansion of the Business Development Team is the latest step in the wider development of our franchisee support. As the network has grown, we’ve enhanced our initial training, introduced regular development activity and increased the use of our bespoke CRM to help franchisees manage and better understand their businesses.
Ultimately, the aim isn’t simply to give our franchisees more support – it’s to make that support increasingly useful and relevant to their individual business goals. Having the right people, systems and insight in place gives us a stronger platform to support our franchisees and their businesses as the Kitchen Makeovers network continues to grow.
