Chapati Man expands to New York by signing up a new master franchisee

When thinking of Indian cuisine, UK festivals may not spring to mind. However, Chapati Man has taken Britain’s festival scene by storm with its spicy wraps. After already becoming a UK success story, it’s about to expand to the Big Apple.”

The news comes as Chapati Man is announcing the sale of the New York master franchise rights to The Chaat is Safe Inc., a New Jersey foreign profit organisation. The franchise” currently serves wraps from its trailers in London and music festivals such as Glastonbury and LoveBox Weekender. Now, The Chaat is Safe Inc. will open Chapati Man fixed food-to-go sites across the State of New York. The expansion comes after Chapati sold a master franchise in Sri Lanka in 2018.”

Commenting on the deal, Chris Rai, the owner who co-founded the company in 2007 with his wife Andrea Rai, said: “I can’t wait to see our Indian elephant branding on the streets of the Big Apple. They’re going to love our product. Fingers crossed that other US states will follow soon.”

Tejas Vemparala, director of The Chaat is Safe Inc., commented on the decision to join forces with the franchisor like this: “We’ve observed the growth of the popularity of Chapati Man in the United Kingdom and are confident we can hit the ground running here in New York, one of the icon cities of street food.”

Upon reaching New York, a thriving hub of street food, it’s likely that Chapati Man’s offerings will be something city goers will gladly sink their teeth into and then, hopefully, the rest of the red, white and blue nation will follow suit. As the song goes, if the franchise can make it there it can make it anywhere.” style=
