Franchise Discovery Day is almost upon us

Home Instead to play a leading role in this year’s popular event on Thursday, March 31st.

Ruth Brown of Home Instead is one of a number of key speakers taking part in Thursday’s Franchise Discovery Day when would-be business owners get the opportunity to listen and learn from industry leaders. Home Instead, winner of the BFA‘s Gold Franchisor of the Year Award for 2020, is joining forces with five other leading franchise companies to offer their expertise at the event.

The other franchises are: Driver Hire, Fast Signs, Puddle Ducks, X-Press Legal Services and Revive!. The occasion is being hosted by BBC News correspondent, Ben Thompson. This online gathering, which starts at 6pm, is an educational webinar providing insight into the world of those who have built successful franchise businesses.

Franchise Discovery Day offers a perfect opportunity for those keen to start their own business but unaware of the benefits available through franchising. Ruth Brown, Director of Business Development with Home Instead, said: “The event is a great chance for people to learn about how they can run their own lucrative business through franchising.

“There are many opportunities, including resales, new territories and multi-unit expansion. You become your own boss, yet have the backing of national and international franchisors and their expert teams.

“We have many franchisees that have achieved their dreams through Home Instead and have built their own businesses, while enjoying flexibility in their day-to-day lives. They also make a positive difference to the lives of older people. We’re excited to share the experiences of our franchisees and hope they inspire others to launch their own franchise businesses.”

Also taking part is Emily Price, who is the chief operating officer of the British Franchise Association (BFA). Together with officials from major franchise supporter HSBC, they will discuss the funding options available, along with many other aspects of the sector.

Another contributor is Clare Jefferies, who owns the Home Instead territories of Wimbledon and Kingston. She will discuss her journey and experiences from starting out as a fledgling franchisee, through to becoming a successful business owner.

Clare joined Home Instead after struggling to find the right support for her parents. Her businesses have grown enormously, and now achieve a multi-million annual turnover.  She is also a trustee of Home Instead Charities, and is hugely involved in her local community.
