Grand gala dinner a glittering success for businesses

Dozens of business owners and entrepreneurs gathered for a glitzy gala awards ceremony at the annual ServiceMaster Spring Forward Event. Over 120 delegates from ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services and Merry Maids businesses gathered at a lush venue in Coventry to learn business skills and to celebrate their achievements. The event began with informative sessions from Team Academy, who carried out a series of interactive sessions teaching business owners new skills. 

In the Business Development sessions, the team guided delegates through three informative and engaging breakout sessions to help them develop their mindset, customer profiling and dynamics to help them manage their customer and employee relationships. With the Mindset Sessions, teams focused on deconstructing different levels of thought and how that can change depending on your circle of influence. Delegates discovered various techniques to manage and communicate effectively. 

In the Profiling session, team leaders helped attendees to navigate their personality and leadership profiles and how that plays into those around them professionally and personally. In the Team Dynamics and Trust session, attendees focused on the true essence of defining trust in a professional dynamic. Using an equation which looked at credibility, reliability, human intimacy, and self-orientation, leaders helped delegates quantify and understand how trust is maintained between people. 

Finally, the sessions ended with goal setting where delegates came together to set goals for the months ahead and smash through any obstacles that stood in their way in a rather unconventional manner – by breaking through planks of wood. 

The event ended in style with a gala dinner and awards evening. Over 25 franchise business owners from Merry Maids and ServiceMaster Clean brands were honoured for their accomplishments over the past year, receiving awards for employee excellence, environmental initiatives, customer service and brand excellence.
