Growth gathers pace as Pacifica Local welcomes new franchise partners
Two new franchise launches are adding further momentum to Pacifica Local’s expanding UK network, as professionals from different backgrounds take the opportunity to build businesses in the appliance repair sector.
Cousins Iain Lawson and Alrick Robinson have launched in Wembley, while experienced engineer Muhammad Iqbal has taken a different route in Staines, bringing his existing appliance repair business into the Pacifica Local network. Although their journeys are different, both have been driven by the same ambition: creating successful businesses that can support their communities and their families’ futures.
A winning formula in Wembley
The latest Pacifica Local launch in Wembley demonstrates the versatility of the franchise model, with cousins Iain and Alrick combining their respective skills and experience to build a business together.
After considering a range of opportunities, the pair were attracted to Pacifica Local’s open approach, clear communication and practical support. Iain had spent several years developing his knowledge of appliance repair, while Alrick brought a background in business, giving the cousins complementary strengths and a shared goal of establishing a successful local operation.
“I’d experienced franchising before and had some reservations,” said Alrick. “Pacifica Local felt different from the very beginning. Those initial conversations put me at ease and gave me the confidence that this was the right decision.”
“Not only were the team really friendly and supportive but having the national recognition of a brand like Pacifica is a real game-changer,” added Iain. “You’re building your own business but you’re never doing it alone.”
Turning experience into growth
For Muhammad, joining Pacifica Local provided a route to build on the foundations he had already established through his own appliance repair business.
With years of engineering experience behind him, Muhammad recognised the opportunity to use Pacifica Local’s established model, systems and support to take his operation further while retaining the independence of running his own business.
“My business had solid foundations, but I knew there was more potential to unlock,” said Muhammad. “The franchise opportunity at Pacifica Local gave me access to the systems, brand recognition, and support I need to take things to the next level – all while giving me the freedom to run my own business.”
Since becoming part of the network, Muhammad has experienced a significant increase in demand, prompting him to recruit his first engineer. “Bringing another engineer into the fold has been a great step forward. With the continued backing of Pacifica Local, I have no doubt we will continue to grow.”

Backing partners every step of the way
Behind both franchise journeys is a model designed to give partners the practical tools, knowledge and support needed to build their businesses. From comprehensive training and established systems to ongoing guidance, Pacifica Local provides a framework for franchise partners entering the appliance repair market.
Its focus on repairing rather than replacing appliances also gives franchise partners the chance to establish trusted businesses around an essential service, helping customers extend the life of their household appliances.
The support available has been particularly valuable for Alrick, who entered the industry without an engineering background. The training provided the confidence to take on a new role and develop the skills needed to serve customers. “Coming from a non-engineering background, I was a little unsure of what to expect but the training was amazing. I left knowing I could go out and deliver a great service for our customers.”
For Iain, having a responsive support network has provided reassurance as the Wembley business gets underway. “Head office genuinely cares about its franchise partners,” added Iain. “They’re always on hand to help you out if you have any queries, no question is too big or too small. It is great to know you have that backing as you’re starting out on your journey.”
Supporting the next wave of franchise partners
Lee Garland, Head of Franchising at Pacifica Local, said, “It is fantastic to welcome Iain, Alrick and Muhammad to the Pacifica Local network, they each bring a unique skillset, showing there’s no single route to becoming a Pacifica Local franchise partner.
“Whether someone is starting a new venture or looking to grow an existing operation, our role is to provide the tools, training and guidance needed to help them succeed. We’re excited to continue expanding and welcome more ambitious franchise partners as our franchise network continues to grow.”
