Franchise owners waste little time in expanding their business following exceptional first year in Newcastle.
Telford-based Kare Plus Franchising are pleased to announce that their Newcastle office has been awarded an area development agreement to expand into county Durham. This follows an exceptional 14 months in business for the Newcastle franchising team of Ricki Walia and Iki Youssaf.
Despite a global pandemic, the team at Kare Plus Newcastle have rolled up their sleeves to deliver success for both the Kare Plus brand and their own local territory. Kare Plus Newcastle only joined the network in 2020, and during the first few months of the current year has seen revenue grow by more than 500%.
According to Yvonne Tomlinson, chief executive of Kare Plus Franchising: “Kare Plus Newcastle is a shining example of hard work, commitment and dedication coming to fruition. But this expansion is also reflected in the resilience and adaptability of the Kare Plus model.
“I was delighted to meet with the directors of Kare Plus Newcastle recently. Iki, Ricki and the team are all extremely inspirational, and have a great vision for growth in the future. I am proud to have awarded them their second territory within our franchise network. They are a credit to the brand and I am excited about the future plans they have.”
And Iki explained: “Opening a business during a global pandemic was always going to be a challenge. Kare Plus Newcastle experienced a rocky beginning to life but we have now stabilised the business and are both overwhelmed and excited to take over the Durham territory.
“We’ve had wonderful support and guidance from head office whose team are all superstars. They have helped us to achieve our goals and we look forward to expanding our business in the north-east.”
Meanwhile, more than 320 miles to the south, Paul Tiltman has renewed his Kare Plus franchise in Ashford, Kent. Paul, who joined the network in 2015, has signed up for a further five years. He said: “My reason for renewing is that I am looking to take this already successful business on to the next level.
“I believe the next five years will be crucial for me personally, as I try to maximise my investment. The first five years went well thanks to plenty of detailed planning and hard work. I consider this to be an ever-improving and growing industry that offers a wonderful path in both life and business.”
Before joining Kare Plus, Paul was already an established franchise owner in another sector but had identified a surge in the UK’s healthcare market and wanted a slice of the action.
And Kare Plus boss Yvonne Tomlinson added: “We are extremely proud to have awarded the franchise licence to Paul for a further five years. We look forward to seeing Kare Plus Ashford develop and grow even more under Paul’s astute leadership.”
Isabelle Baker, the operations manager of Kare Plus, paid tribute to Paul saying: “He is a perfect example of what can be achieved over a very small duration of time. Paul’s desire to renew his agreement for a further term reflects an opportunity for a business with scalability and durability.
“He has illustrated an unwavering hunger for success, and has shown great passion and quality in the Ashford territory. I’m excited to be able to continue to work alongside him, and his team, to see what the next five years have in store.”
