It was milk chocolate pistachios all-round, last weekend, when Heavenly Desserts celebrated a major milestone in Tooting. The dessert franchise, which began trading 15 years ago, unveiled its 50th UK restaurant.
The store, at 48 Upper Tooting Road, has a seating capacity of 46, and becomes the first business venture for the recently graduated trio of Manoj Kumar Advani, Sundeep Kumar Ukrani and Dev Advani.
Tooting is the company’s seventh London store and, during 2023, the growing franchise has added another 10 outlets to its portfolio.
Towards the end of last year, Heavenly Desserts opened its first overseas restaurant in Canada, with the East Midlands-based business seemingly going from strength-to-strength.
“The Tooting restaurant is in the heart of south London, near to a bustling high street and a vibrant food market. This makes it the perfect hotspot for local residents.”
Heavenly Desserts, which has its headquarters in Derby, was the brainchild of Yousif and his co-franchisor Mohammed Imran. The business continued to expand throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, by growing its online delivery service through UberEats and Deliveroo.
Specialities offered by Heavenly Desserts, includes its innovative tapas range, cooling sundaes and croissant-waffle combinations, which come with a wide selection of different toppings.
There are also vegan menus, while visitors are able to indulge in the franchise’s extensive range of mocktails, coffees, teas and smoothies.
As for the new store in Tooting (SW17 7PD), guests are welcome between 11am and 11pm on all seven days of the week. In addition to last year’s venture into Canada, there are other master franchise agreements secured by businesses in Denmark, Pakistan and United States.
