Papa John’s targeting ‘smaller towns’

Pizza specialists continue to expand their UK network.

Papa John’s influence over UK consumers is widening, with the news that they have opened 10 more stores during the first half of 2021. Among the locations to open their doors this year are Swinton in Manchester, Daventry, Market Harborough, Bradford, Brighouse in Yorkshire, and Totton in Hampshire. And quality pizza specialists Papa John’s have made it clear that they are keen to add even more new stores in some of the UK’s smaller towns.

The company’s UK director of business development, Amit Pancholi, pointed out: “We are finding that many customers enjoy their first taste of Papa John’s while on holiday.  So we now want to bring our ever-growing presence in holiday parks and other tourist hot spots ‘back home,’ which would enable these same people to enjoy their favourite pizza treats in their local town.

“We are one of the fastest growing quick service restaurant brands in the UK, with regards to the opening of new sites. We are now delivering in many small towns, which form part of our continued expansion plans, and we expect to open at least 10 more new stores before the end of 2021. As well as our high street locations, we continue to partner with a range of leading leisure and sports venues, in addition to our established outlets at holiday parks.

“For any budding franchisee who wishes to join our growing UK network, we provide innovation, expertise and know-how to help you get started. As a franchisor we provide all the support needed to enable our franchisees, and their teams, to thrive in business and grow as we expand. This includes help with local marketing.”

Papa John’s was founded in Indiana, United States, in 1984, and now have 5,000 outlets across almost 50 international markets. In the UK, the company has over 450 stores, with their head office in Buckinghamshire. Around 70% of their sales are generated by e-commerce.
