Quest Apartment Hotels is launching in the UK

The Australian apartment-hotel operator is actively looking for franchisees to spearhead its expansion into the UK

Quest Apartment Hotels is launching in the UK

Given that some startups with only a few months to their names can raise multi-million pound rounds, it’s easy to be fooled into believing that success is about moving fast. However, the case of Quest Apartment Hotels provides a compelling counterpoint. Launched almost three decades ago, the hotel-apartment-service franchise has patiently grown its 160-franchisee-strong network, which today spans across Australasia and is now about to take the UK by storm.

Joining other Australian franchises like F45, the fitness franchise, in making the move to Britain, Quest Apartment Hotels has announced a big expansion onto these shores. The franchise plans to open between eight to ten hotels in Britain by 2023, the first of which will open in Liverpool in 2019.

However, it takes a special kind of franchisee to make a success of an international expansion, which is why Quest Hotel Apartments is now actively on the lookout for high-calibre candidates to join its network. Not only will budding franchisees have to be people-oriented, energetic and committed to following the franchise model but they also have to be prepared to go through a recruitment process that can take up to six months, again proving that the franchisor is willing to take its time to get things right.

Nevertheless, it’s safe to say that Quest Apartment Hotels is excited about its expansion onto these shores. “We’ve immersed ourselves in the UK market in recent months and can see the potential for the aggressive expansion of both our brand and the apartment hotel industry here,” said Andrew Weisz, director of UK development at Quest Apartment Hotels.

It’s always encouraging to see international franchises willing to make the UK their home away from home.
