Once more the biggest awards of the year are looming on the horizon. No, we’re not talking about the Oscars: the bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year awards are once again open for entries and scouring the land for the finest franchisors the nation has to offer.
Now in their 27th year, the awards aim to celebrate both new and established franchisors for their high standards, ethical approach and the positive impact they have on their franchisees’ businesses. They are set to cover five different categories: Franchisor of the Year, Emerging Franchisor of the Year, the Award for Innovation, the Franchisee Recruitment Award and the Award for Customer Focus. Previous winners include Home Instead Senior Care UK, Agency Express and Autosmart International.
“We all know franchising is a diverse and vibrant sector and the awards offer one of the best opportunities to showcase that,” said Cathryn Hayes, head of business support at the bfa and awards judge. “Promoting ethical franchising is at the heart of the bfa’s work and highlighting the impressive feats of our finalists and winners is the perfect way to do just that.”
Andrew Brattesani, UK head of franchising for HSBC, added: “Last year was my first Franchisor of the Year awards and pride was the biggest emotion experienced, both on the night and throughout the judging process – pride from the applicants but equally, pride in being involved as a judge and for HSBC being long-term supporters of these awards. I can’t wait to go through this rollercoaster again!”
Entries close February 22 ahead of the awards ceremony on June 23 so those franchises that fancy seeing their name up lights should head on over to the bfa’s website and enter now.”
