A B2B franchise with community at its heart

The world’s number 1 business coaching franchise goes from strength to strength in the UK and globally. So, what makes ActionCOACH this successful? At their core, they CARE about their members – their team, their franchise partners and the people they coach. When they talk about CARE, they are sharing some of their key drivers through the business: Community, Accountability, Results and Education. You can read an introduction to all four drivers in an article here. But today, we are concentrating on what Community means to ActionCOACH and its members.

A far-reaching community

ActionCOACH builds their community by awarding exclusive franchise territories to like-minded people wanting to make a difference to the lives of business owners. With more than 200 Action Coaches in the UK and 1,000+ in over 80 countries, they’re helping tens of thousands of business owners.

ActionCOACH is recognised as the world’s number 1 business coaching team and is the only franchise in the UK to be rated both 5-Star for franchisee satisfaction and ranked in the top 10 of the Elite Franchise Top 100 every year since the accolades began. According to ActionCOACH franchise partners, however, the biggest rewards are the personal ‘thank you’ they receive from their clients. The recognition they get for the difference they make in their local economy is what makes it such an important community, as business growth fuels more jobs, time, security and financial freedom for families.

Rob Pickering has been an Action Coach for over a decade, “ActionCOACH has done so much for me, which is why I always strive to give back to the community as much as I can. I coach other Action Coaches within the network and it’s one of my favourite parts of the job. I look at it this way: if I help one client, that’s one business, but if I help another coach, then this multiplies the number of businesses I can help by 10 or 20.”

Coming together as a community

ActionCOACH gives its franchise partners and client members multiple opportunities to get together each year, virtually and in person. Sharing knowledge and experience between themselves and learning from world-class leaders is a given at any Action event but you may also be taken aback by how much fun members have at the same time!

Franchise partners and their teams have access to over 70 days of support each year. Natalie Simms launched her ActionCOACH firm amidst pandemic lockdowns, “To say I was impressed with the training would be an understatement. Right from the very first day, I was blown away by the content, delivery and commitment by the UK Support Team. One of the best things was learning the proven ActionCOACH business growth system from the perspective of a coach and from a client’s point of view too. The ongoing support has been amazing. It’s gone way beyond my expectations and there is always something to learn. Whether it’s with MasterCLASSes, conferences, or sales and marketing webinars, there is always a chance to better myself for the benefit of my clients.”

Every year, ActionCOACH hosts BizX – a two-day conference with a glittering awards night – to recognise and honour the innovation, passion, risk-taking and results of some of the best companies and business owners in the world. It brings together a like-minded community of entrepreneurs to share ideas, build relationships and learn from some phenomenal success stories. BizX 2023 will welcome incredible guest speakers such as the world’s greatest explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes, queen of the high street Mary Portas and the youngest investor from Dragons’ Den Steven Bartlett.

Owner of premium-bottled cocktail company Swygge, Rewfus Brode, took home the award for Entrepreneur of the Year ay BizX 2022, “All my friends and family were so happy for me. I want to say a big thank you to my amazing Action Coach, Natalie Simms. She is brilliant at opening our minds to new ideas and helping us create winning structures and systems. I know with her help we’ll grow even more in the future. Bring on BizX 2023!”

Giving back to our communities

In December 2018, beloved Action Coach Kent Rhodes lost his brave fight against cancer. Kent was known and respected in the franchise community for his abundant and challenging nature, and he left a legacy beyond his incredible work as a franchise partner. To honour Kent’s life, each year the ActionCOACH UK community embarks on a challenge which reflects those traits, whilst doing as much as they can to help those less fortunate than themselves.

In 2022, a team of amateur (but keen!) walkers undertook a huge 3-peak 20-mile hike with a total elevation of 1,000 metres in the Peak District, Derbyshire, to remember Kent, taking the total raised so far for Children with Cancer UK to over £64,000. Kent’s mother, Sue Rhodes, attended the event for the first time last year. After travelling all the way from South Africa, she gave a heartfelt response to the ActionCOACH community.

“It was incredible to attend the event in my darling son’s honour,” said Sue. “The fact his legacy is being kept alive is a testimony to the values and ethos of the ActionCOACH community. It means a great deal to me that children who are suffering from the awful disease which took Kent are going to benefit from the fundraising efforts. I’m so grateful to ActionCOACH, who were such a big part of Kent’s life. It makes me emotional to think about how incredible the support has been since he passed.”

Many franchise partners identify local charities, gifting their coaching time to improve fundraising efforts whilst effectively delivering support. But they also have their eyes on the future with the UK’s ActionCOACH Foundation. Newly registered as a charity this year, the foundation delivers the UK arm of the global Young Entrepreneur Smart Start (YESS) programme. This world-leading programme combines business basics with mindset, skills and tools to ignite the spark of entrepreneurship in kinds and young people from 12-25 years old. ActionCOACH’s vision to roll out business and entrepreneurship education across the UK, showing young people they have the option to become business owners, creating jobs, achieving their ambitions and becoming the leaders of tomorrow.

If you want to build a business with an organisation that cares, make a difference in your local community and you’re the kind of person who:

A) loves learning and helping other people succeed;

B) has enjoyed success in your career or sport; and

C) is willing to invest if you see substantial rewards can be made…
