The Travel Franchise

Launched in 2001, The Travel Franchise (TTF) has enabled hundreds of people to train and become a homeworking travel consultant without any former experience.

While its competitors recruit from within the travel industry, its most successful franchisees come from all walks of life and some only work part time. Franchisees take holiday bookings under TTF’s customer-facing Not Just Travel brand after a five-day induction, but what is particularly impressive is the company’s ongoing support and training. For example, franchisees get the opportunity to attend unique mentoring trips abroad where co-founders, Steve Witt and Paul Harrison, are on hand to give expert tips on being an entrepreneur while exploring a variety of hotels and destinations with its travel partners.

To remain one step ahead of its rivals, the company invested £1m in recruitment and technology in 2022, and created a new cruise division, introducing a year-long Cruise Mastery Programme to help train agents to become even better at selling the product. The company has proved that with training and expertise, there is real money to be made with one agent selling £100,000 worth of holidays in her first month of joining and another selling £1.2m of holidays in just 18 months despite joining during the pandemic.  

Since the beginning of 2022, Not Just Travel has broken nearly all of its sales records and the sheer speed at which the company is growing is turning heads within the industry. Its progress in 2023 will definitely be one to watch.
