Checking in with Gregg Hinchcliffe, centre manager at Signs Express Dartford for his latest update, we hear how July and August have fared

Integration Phase #2 (with a little bit of Summer in between!)

Following last month’s diary entry, we introduced a new journey to follow, as we track the progress of Gregg Hinchcliffe, centre manager and his team at Signs Express Dartford, as they become the first centre in our (Signs Express) roll-out programme to adopt our new internal software platform CoreBridge, which will underpin the backbone of the whole business, aiming to boost efficiency, improve internal control, enhance data driven marketing and of course deliver a first class customer experience.

Checking in with Gregg for his latest update, we hear how July and August have fared:

“Working through the summer holiday period is always fun, there’s plenty of annual leave within your own team, and that of your own clients, so traditionally this tends to slow things down, however July and August proved to be exactly what I though they were going to be, busy busy, busy!

We’re thrilled to see projects with new clients coming to fruition after months of relationship building, plus existing clients being nurtured, creating wider prospects, partnerships and exciting projects ahead. As always, we’ve been extremely busy quoting, with lots of site visits and plenty of survey’s, all the things you need to get things moving.

As a sports fan, I was delighted to work with key customer of ours, Hochiki as they were welcomed as a Club Partner for EFL Leage Two side, Gillingham Football Club over the Summer. Producing signage solutions for the local club was a fantastic project, allowing us to feel like we’re making a real impact to the local community. Whilst we may be experts at producing signage, we left the installation to the abseiling experts as they hoisted themselves to the top of the stadium and safely installed the new signage at height. The guys did a fantastic job and, on this occasion, I was more than happy to nominate myself as designated photographer! 

As I kept my feet safely on the ground, I’ve also spent the last few weeks alongside the team continuing to embrace and embed the new CoreBridge software and navigate my way around the system. I’m still on a learning curve which I’m excited about and lucky for Dan over at the Franchise Support Centre, my phone calls are becoming less frequent.

The system seems intuitive and I’m finding new shortcuts all the time, with only a little bit of direction needed. I’m really pleased to see the whole team fully integrated onto CoreBridge now! The management dashboard gives us real-time information and it has definitely improved communication and efficiency within the business, allowing us to see at the click of a button, where we’re at in the process for any given job. Whilst we always strive to offer outstanding customer service, this has allowed the whole team to give real-time updates to our customers, with 100% accuracy whether it’s their project or not.

CoreBridge is delivering numerous benefits and a small but notable improvement the system offers, are notifications when jobs are complete, allowing me to keep on top of invoicing and keeping the cash flowing back into the business.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve also been working with Dan to create and tweak our custom-built reports, allowing us to fully customise the data, analytics and KPI’s we wish to measure ourselves on, allowing us to track our performance, service levels, profitability and more.

Next-up for us is looking at how we can utilise the reporting functions to analyse our customer data further and use this to its fullest potential. With opportunities to offer more insight into customer and industry trends along with identifying any missed opportunities, I’m looking forward to seeing what the system has to offer!”
