Be proud of your achievements during a difficult year

This is the message from organisers of the 2021 NatWest-sponsored EWiF Awards, who are urging all interested parties to become involved in this important annual event for women.

It’s that time of the year again: Time to celebrate the achievements of women in franchising. Nominations for the NatWest-sponsored 2021 EWiF (Encouraging Women into Franchising) Awards opened on Monday, and organisers want all interested parties to participate. There are 11 awards on the table, at what is the biggest annual event in the EWiF calendar.

This is an opportunity for franchisors to nominate themselves, their franchisees and staff, so that their achievements can be recognised by the industry. You don’t need to be an EWIF Ambassador to enter, because this popular event is open to all UK-based businesses in the franchise sector. And, according to organisers, “it’s more important than ever to take part this time around. The year 2020 hasn’t been easy for franchises, business owners or their employees.

“Many businesses have been innovative and resilient in the face of something nobody could ever have prepared for. EWiF wants to shout about your achievements, after what has been one of the most challenging years in business. Have you overcome adversity and changed how you operate, supported your team, franchisees and customers? If so, then EWiF wants to hear from you. So get involved in this important event.”

In a recently published press release, organisers added: “Even being shortlisted allows us to celebrate the wonderful work you have done. Entering awards is a great opportunity, even if you are not shortlisted. The process of writing an entry gives you time to reflect on all your successes throughout the year. Taking the time to reward and celebrate achievements will also give the business, and more importantly the people you work with, a boost.”

Added benefits:

• Opportunities for personal and brand publicity about being shortlisted. Contact your local TV, radio and newspapers.

• Added trust and credibility. Update your website, social media accounts and email logos with the badge you receive for being a finalist.

• Potential national recognition for your achievements, which also helps to amplify your brand and reputation.

• Great opportunities for networking.

• A good way to attract more franchisees, when you position your brand as ‘best in class.’
