More Than Loft Ladders (MTLL) has recorded a landmark year of growth, with turnover increasing by almost 70% and its franchise network expanding from 10 to 15 franchise partners.

Behind the headline figures, MTLL has continued to invest significantly in its operational foundations, with a focus on infrastructure, consistency and long-term scalability under the leadership of Franchise Director Liam Hobbs.

As the company continues its expansion across the UK, 2026 has so far demonstrated a business that is not only growing but ensuring every rung of the ladder is firmly in place for the future.

From franchisee to franchise director

Recent growth has been overseen by Franchise Director Liam Hobbs, who joined the business as a franchisee before stepping into the leadership role in 2022. Since then, the emphasis has been on expanding the network while preserving the local service and close-knit culture that helped establish the brand.

For Liam, his previous experience as a franchisee means he understands the challenges and opportunities faced across the network.

“I know what it’s like on the ground, so a lot of what we do is about making sure our franchisees feel supported, have the right tools and can build something successful in their own area.”

Foundations for future growth

Alongside franchise recruitment, MTLL has continued to strengthen the infrastructure available to franchisees. This has included the launch of the MTLL Academy at the brand’s new head office, the growth of the support team from two to five people and an expanding programme of conferences, development days and business mentoring.

“We’ve focused on creating the right foundations,” added Liam. “Investing in training, support and infrastructure now means we’re in a strong position to continue expanding the network sustainably.”

Delivering strong local results

With these measures now established, franchisees throughout the network have delivered strong performances this year, highlighting ongoing demand for MTLL’s services.

MTLL Norfolk franchisee Ben Aires expanded to three vans and a team of five installers, generating more than 430 enquiries and completing 143 jobs during his first year in business. Meanwhile, at MTLL Portsmouth, Chris and Lynette Turner have secured 179 enquiries and completed 55 jobs since their launch event in February.

Innovation driving performance

The network has also been trialling new technology aimed at improving efficiency and response times.

MTLL Nottingham, Derby and South Yorkshire has tested an AI-powered enquiry and booking system, reducing lead response times to just five seconds. As a result, 60% of enquiries are now booked within five minutes, while conversion rates have increased from 55% to 86%.

“We’re always looking for ways to make things easier for franchisees and improve the customer experience. By testing new systems in my former franchise territory – now owned by my son Rob – before rolling them out, we can be confident they’re delivering real results,” said Liam.

Looking ahead

The latest growth comes as MTLL reports year-on-year enquiries have increased from 6,683 to 11,292, while five-star customer reviews have risen from 603 to 1,103.

“So far it’s been a fantastic year for the network, but we’re not standing still,” concluded Liam. “We’re excited to continue welcoming new franchisees, expanding into new regions of the UK and building a franchise fit for the future.”

MTLL continues to expand, with opportunities for ambitious entrepreneurs to join a resilient and supportive franchise network.
