Caremark celebrate top-15 status

When the UK’s leading franchises came together to honour the Elite Franchise Top 100 recently, Caremark were delighted to bask in the glory of a grand occasion.

Sussex-based company Caremark remain one of the leading franchises in the country and just a few weeks ago celebrated their status as a top 15 business in the Elite Franchise 100 List. In the 2021 table, Caremark were ranked 14th, which is one position higher than last year.

Jeremy Dunn, Caremark‘s franchise recruitment director, logged on to watch the virtual ceremony and admitted it was a great honour to be named among the very best franchises in the country.

He said: “I never get tired of this recognition. It tells me we, as a care provider, are doing things correctly and it gives the whole company – franchisees and staff at our headquarters alike – a great feeling of satisfaction.

“It’s a real confidence booster and always gives us strength to try and improve on our product, year-on-year. Last year we achieved, on average, a growth volume of over 20%, with regards to the number of hours our carers now deliver.” The Elite Franchise Top 100, in association with sponsors HSBC, recognises the brightest franchisors, from long-standing brands to newly created businesses.

Now in its fourth year, the EF100 ranks those who have performed outstandingly well. The judges make their decisions based on a broad selection of criteria, which include mentoring and ongoing support of franchisees, as well as their position in the marketplace, along with future plans and strategy. Entrants are also judged on innovation and ambitions.

Scott English, brand director for Elite Franchise, added: “I’m so proud to celebrate the 100 incredible brands that have made it into this year’s league table. It’s just a real shame we couldn’t all celebrate their incredible achievements together in person. But it will just make our 2022 event all the more special.

“Well done to every brand that entered and to the recipients of our three special achievements awards, not to mention the top 100. After such a difficult year, it’s been so inspirational, and the judges feel likewise.”

And Andrew Brattesani, UK Head of Franchising at HSBC and one of five judges on the EF 100 panel, said: “We continue to be blown away by the ability of business owners to adapt in the face of adversity, as experienced during the Covid pandemic.

“The EF100 celebrates excellence across the industry and it’s an event I’m very proud to be a part of. We, at HSBC, supported 700 franchisees to launch new business last year, which works out at around 16 a week.

“If that’s not a sign of the robustness of the industry, I don’t know what is? Franchisors, franchisees and suppliers have all come together to create these success stories. It’s now 30 years since we started a franchise division at HSBC and here’s to the next 30 years in franchising.”

And the final word goes to Jeremy Dunn of Caremark, who explained: “There has never been a better time to invest in our company. We have the lowest management fee in the sector, and recently agreed to make a substantial reduction to our franchise fee. No sector experience is required as full training and support is provided.”
