More recognition for Home Instead

Leading franchise chasing the magnificent seven

When the annual UK Home Care Awards take place next month, top-ranked franchise Home Instead will once again be among the frontrunners in a number of categories. The Warrington-based business, which was named ‘Gold Franchisor of the Year‘ by the British Franchise Association (BFA) last autumn, has been shortlisted in seven of the 17 categories.

Winners will be announced at a virtual ceremony on April 23rd when members of the social care industry join together to recognise outstanding achievement and innovation. Home Instead‘s national office in Cheshire has been nominated in five categories, these being: ‘Team support expertise‘; ‘Response to the Coronavirus pandemic‘; ‘Marketing expertise‘; ‘Dementia care expertise‘ and ‘Best home care group or franchise network.’

The franchise offices of Dartford and Wetherby have also secured nominations. The Kent-based team is hoping to be named ‘Best start-up home care service,‘ while the west Yorkshire office is shortlisted in the category honouring ‘Specialist dementia.’

Ruth Brown, Home Instead‘s business development director, said: “It’s great to be recognised for these prestigious awards. Our national office team is proud to support our network, helping them to become the very best in everything they do.” Home Instead, which also topped the Elite Franchise Top 100 list in December of last year, has 226 franchise offices across the UK.

Starting out in the United States during the mid-1990s, the business established its UK base in 2005 and they now deliver over six million hours of quality care each year to more than 21,000 clients. The various franchise offices employ a total of over 10,000 caregivers all over the country, specialising in offering care and companionship in the home for older people. They also deliver specialist dementia care, plus live-in care, end-of-life and respite care.

Regarding these recently announced nominations, Home Instead‘s CEO Martin Jones commented: “The Home Care Awards champion quality home care. As a sector, we have much to celebrate and the service we provide, which allows people to remain in their own homes, is needed now more than ever. I would like to send best wishes to all finalists who are clearly doing great work in our sector and in our communities. We look forward to coming together virtually to celebrate the awards in April.”

Next month’s online ceremony will be hosted by Alan Dedicoat, best known for being the voice announcer on the BBC’s hit entertainment programme Strictly Come Dancing.
