As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations Razzamataz Theatre Schools recently organised two major trips to Disneyland Paris, where students performed to a global audience in the iconic Disney parade.
This experience was especially significant, as the first Disneyland Paris experience in 2017 was a massive success, while another, planned for 2020, had to be cancelled due to the pandemic.
“I feel so proud of myself, I’m buzzing,” was just one of many responses when students were asked how they felt after performing in the Disneyland Paris parade this time round.
As Denise Gosney Founder and MD of Razzamataz put it: “At Razzamataz, we go beyond outstanding performing arts training to create unforgettable experiences that inspire young people to discover their true potential.”

She added: “By opening doors to opportunities outside of their everyday routines, we help build confidence, give them a voice and allow them to view the world with fresh eyes and limitless possibilities.” Yet as Razzamataz will readily state, for most children and families, the end goal isn’t necessarily to be an arts professional.
That said, the performing arts are a powerful tool for building confidence, creativity, and resilience. At Razzmatazz this is done alongside having nurturing and caring teachers.
The lessons are planned to not only develop technical skills in dance, drama, and singing, but also to encourage teamwork, communication, and self-expression. This balance ensures that every child, whether they dream of a career on stage or simply want to grow in confidence, leaves Razzamatazz with skills and memories that will last a lifetime.
Yet, it’s not just the students and families who benefit from exceptional experiences, Razzamatazz Principals and their teams are also treated to unforgettable moments. During the recent Disneyland Paris trip, the network came together for a spectacular 25-year celebration meal at the Eiffel Tower, highlighting the rewards of being part of this multi-award winning, Dragons’ Den backed network. Experiences like this not only create special memories but also bring teams closer together, sparking creativity and strengthening relationships, ultimately helping businesses grow, therefore giving more young people incredible opportunities.
As Anna, parent of Marija Sycheva, a senior student at Razzamataz Bournemouth put it: “This was an amazing trip and we made so many amazing memories.”
Similar sentiment was expressed at Razzamataz Derby where: “The students beamed throughout as they demonstrated inclusivity and the sheer joy of performing.”
