Established in the UK in 2005, Home Instead was the first of its kind, disrupting the market, introducing an ‘in home care’ model to the social care landscape.

Today, Home Instead continues to be the household name for home care, building strong relationships with the wider healthcare sector and being a forward-facing company that people aspire to work for, work with or recommend.

Widely acknowledged as industry leading, not only for their successful business model, but for the outstanding care it provides, Home Instead provide a supportive and growing network of over 265 franchise offices across the UK, and a 65 strong national office, meaning franchisees are provided with all they need to thrive.

Led by Managing Director Ruth Brown, who is Chair of The British Franchise Association (BFA) board and a previous winner of EWiF’s Ambassador of the Year, Ruth’s commitment to franchising and empowering women in business continues to  inspire the network and drive collaboration across the sector.

The home care sector is booming, we have an ageing population and families are increasingly making this their preferred choice for their loved ones. Home Instead’s impressive growth reflects this rise in popularity.

Home Instead provides an opportunity to own a scaleable business which is rewarding in more ways than one. Many Home Instead franchisees have gone on to build significant multi-million-pound businesses, with two or more territories.

Home Instead are offering resale opportunities only, with no new territories remaining. These are established franchise businesses in highly desirable locations, often with existing teams, clients and cash flow. On top of the resale price, there is a £20,500 + VAT franchise fee.

Contribution
Spot the Signs helps families identify early signs that an older loved one may need extra support. Through a free checklist, local events, and practical guidance, the initiative raises awareness and connects families to homecare services, encouraging early care conversations.
Support
Our business model is built on networking in local communities. This gives franchisees the opportunity to share expert knowledge with families, healthcare professionals and charity representatives. Franchisees also deliver Senior Fraud Workshops, raising awareness of scams amongst the elderly.
Innovation
Our franchise teams were offered a chance to experience living with Alzheimer's disease as part of our virtual dementia bus tour the branded bus has visited 25 locations in 2025, training more than 750 people • Participants experienced sensory overload & difficulty with fine motor skills. Supported by medical research the experience uses technology to replicate the sensory changes associated with dementia.
Future
Dementia is a major topic for our franchise offices throughout the year. We plan to extend the campaign further in 2026 with the delivery of more community workshops, a renewed focus on community engagement to raise awareness levels.
