A month in the life of Hannah Johnson, K9 Personal Trainer (K9PT)

Hey there, folks! Hannah Johnson here, your Canine Personal Trainer (K9PT), ready to take you on a journey through the past month of my life. Get ready for a rollercoaster ride! Let’s kick things off with my sessions. In the last month, I’ve clocked over canine fitness 100 sessions, all held over Zoom. These sessions are customised to address specific fitness goals and physical needs, incorporating agility drills, obedience training, core strengthening exercises, and more. Each session is a blend of physical and mental stimulation, fostering a stronger bond between dog and owner while empowering clients to become confident trainers. It’s pretty incredible how technology allows me to connect with clients from all corners of the globe. Speaking of which, I’ve had clients from Canada, Norway, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Austria, and more. The internet truly knows no boundaries!

Now, let’s rewind to Crufts- the largest dog show in the world! I had the amazing chance to attend as a spectator, cheering on our fantastic clients who were strutting their stuff in agility, flyball, heelwork to music, obedience, and conformation showing. It was a proud moment to see them shine on such a big stage, and see all the effort and hard work the owners have put in pay off.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. I hosted a webinar on Canine Conditioning for Beginners for over 70 eager participants, teaching them the basics of canine conditioning and how to get started. The enthusiasm from the attendees was contagious, it’s so exciting to see more and more people learn about canine conditioning and the benefits it can have for every dog. I’m thrilled to share my knowledge with such a dedicated audience. And let’s not forget about the upcoming webinars! I’m currently in the planning stages for agility, flyball, and canicross sessions, all aimed at providing valuable insights and training tips for our clients.

Speaking of sharing knowledge, I’ve been hard at work making significant updates to our Canine Fitness app based on feedback from a recent survey. It’s all about continuously improving and providing the best resources for our clients and their furry friends. In between all this, I’ve managed to settle into a new office space, which has been both exciting and challenging, especially considering I’ve also recently moved house. But with the support of my amazing family and close friends, I’ve been able to navigate these transitions fairly smoothly.

On the professional development front, I’ve been fortunate to work with an excellent business mentor, learning more about advertising strategies to help grow our business even further. Additionally, I’ve been busy assessing individuals going through the K9PT course we run, and I’m proud to say that many talented students have passed with flying colours.

Phew, I told you it’s been a busy month! But amidst all the hustle and bustle, I’m grateful for the incredible opportunities and the chance to make a positive impact in the lives of dogs and their humans. Here’s to another month filled with wagging tails and boundless possibilities!
