Awards run amok for Radfield in 2022

Another glorious year for the UK home care giants.

Awards run amok for Radfield in 2022

It’s been a golden year for Radfield, so far, and there are still a little over two months remaining. Among their achievements, during 2022, was a top-20 ranking of UK-based home care companies – for the fifth year in a row.

They were also ‘highly commended’ in the category titled Best Home Care Franchise, at this year’s Home Care Awards. But that’s not all, because they have been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Laing Buisson home care awards.

Finally, they received further recognition, when the company was granted a sought-after Princess Royal Training Award for their Radfield Runway franchise programme. This particular honour illustrates how Radfield offer top of the class franchise training and support across in the UK.

Radfield was founded in 1982, starting life as a solitary residential care home for the elderly in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. It is now one of the UK’s leading franchised businesses, owned by the brother and sister team of Alex Green and Dr Hannah MacKechnie whose parents built the business from scratch.

The business has grown year-on-year, and Dr Hannah said: “Radfield Home Care’s purpose is to make a difference to the lives of those who may have been forgotten, may be lonely, or may have lost their way.

“If this resonates with you, and you are seeking a career change, by possibly looking to move into the fast-expanding home care sector, then you could be a perfect fit for our ever-growing network and we’d love to talk to you.”

So what can a new Radfield Home Care franchise partner look forward to, when they join this award-winning business? Dr Hannah continues: “You will become a partner in a forward-thinking brand. You will be guided by our excellent team at headquarters, as well as established franchise business owners, as we continue to set new standards in private home care for older people.

“Our unique business model has proved many times that it works to perfection, thanks to our industry-leading training and unlimited specialist support. This will give you the tools and guidance to become our next successful franchisee.

“Training is carried out by those who’ve been there, done it, and know what works. They will give you what you need to start and grow your own profitable home care business. You will help shape the future of care in the UK and become a valued contributor to your community.

“It’s a highly-rewarding way to work and live. You’ll feel part of the team straight away, because we treat all of our franchise partners as individuals, and not as cogs in a machine. And you will be encouraged every step of the way, giving you the confidence to succeed.”

And Dr Hannah’s brother, Alex, added: “Our aim is to help the nation age well and remain connected to what matters most to them. We are helping people to be themselves and retain their sense of identity. Most importantly, we are helping people stay connected to the things that are important in their lives.”

One of their existing franchisees, who successfully made a career change, is Po Wun Wan. Po is the owner of Radfield Home Care Barnet & Finchley. She spent most of her career working in the aviation industry, before realising that she needed to make a big change and launch her own business.

She said: “All I knew is that I wanted to move into the care sector, but didn’t know how to put it together. But Radfield provided me with all the training and support I needed to make a success of it.”
