The company have around 100 vehicles in the UK and are already making impressive progress. Their initial assessment, that their fleet of vans will save approximately 12,650g of CO2 per annum, has now been upgraded to 12,672g CO²/km.
Among Cafe2U’s other sustainable practices are their reusable and/or compostable coffee cups. They also encourage their customers to take advantage of the company’s biodegradable paper straws, as well as their paper cup recycling scheme.
Their commitment to reducing the company’s carbon footprint is proving popular with both customers and franchisees alike who are all conscious about the need to be environmentally-friendly.
And Cafe2U’s sustainable business model is certainly attracting new business partners. Despite the pandemic and other business-related issues, which are affecting the UK economy, the company still managed to increase its number of franchisees during 2021 by a whopping 20%.
