The Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100) is delighted to unveil the latest rankings of the top 100 franchisors in the UK for 2024. Established in 2017, the EF100 acknowledges and awards the outstanding franchises within the industry. Now in its eighth year, franchising’s defining league table is eager to reveal the annual announcement of the top 100.

Amidst fierce competition spanning diverse industries, Snap-on Tools has secured the esteemed position at the pinnacle of the EF100 rankings for the second consecutive year. The leading global franchise for tool manufacturing and distribution will retain this title throughout 2024.

Byron Miltz, UK Managing Director of Snap-on Tools, reflects proudly on their top of the ranking position: “This is our third time being ranked number one in the EF100, and it’s the second consecutive year. It’s not an exaggeration to tell you that this is a highlight of the year for me – and for Snap-on as a whole. I could not be prouder of the team here in the UK, and of our incredible franchisees, whose hard work, dedication and love for the brand is what makes us who we are today. Even after more than 100 years, the best is yet to come!”

‘When assessing candidates, we consider factors such as a franchise’s revenue, expansion and quality of their training and support systems,” said Anita Roberts, Franchise Director at HSBC UK and one of this year’s 24 specialist judges. “Achieving such a high position on this list is a clear testament to the extraordinary achievements of the brands that consistently set the gold standard.”

The top 5 in the league table compromise of Home Instead in second place. Driver Hire and Water Babies are in third and fourth respectively. Rounding out the top of rankings is Subway in fifth position. Achieving a place in the top 5 is a remarkable achievement, showcasing the strength of their business models, adaptability and determination.

Scott English, Brand Director of Elite Franchise, extends his congratulations to each franchise on this significant accomplishment: “Making it into the top 100 is something to be unbelievably proud of. Each year we judge using our eight key criteria, as well as evaluating the frameworks in place to overcome challenges and creating long-term success. These brands’ attitudes and innovations continue to amaze us, and they deserve all the recognition.”

The biggest climber in this year’s EF100 is Turtle Tots, moving from 96 to 71 and the highest new entry is Puccino’s, making their inaugural appearance on the list at 30. The EF100 provides valuable insights for those considering franchise opportunities, reflecting a diverse array of successful franchises across various sectors.

The 2024 EF100 list illustrates the industry’s unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding services and support to franchise networks,” added Scott.
